What has you in Bondage?
Tonight we learned of three types of bondage:
The Bondage of the Mind. The things we do throughout the day determines what influences our minds. Paul clearly states in Romans that we must read the Word of God daily to keep our minds thinking on good things and break the bondage of wrong thinking.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2
The Bondage of the Heart. When we speak whatever is in our heart comes out.
Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. Matthew 15:11
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 18:21
The Bondage of the Soul. We are born into sin. Our souls are captive to it. The only way to break this bondage is to accept Jesus Christ as our Savior.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13
